Intro- What is a building? a building is a house or a workplace that construction workers build and houses a building made of wood,bricks and work buildings are made of glass.

 

Step 1: Your planning & designing:  For your Planning some people recommend  Wood, wood offers a smart natural advantage that comes to building a lot of houses. Wood provides a fresh scent but can damage this situation by cutting too many trees. Why is it good to use Wood for building a house? Well Wood is sustainable, renewable and generally less energy-intensive to process compared to other construction materials, including concrete & steel. 

 

Step 2: Your site checks imperfection: Now you will have to check your site to see if the building can fit on the ground and then make sure that the ground is stable for the house.

 

Step 3: Equipment/Materials: Your 3rd step is to get all the materials and equipment that you will be needing for the construction. After you have got all your materials you will need to start coming up with ideas.

 

Step 4: Foundation: Step 4, Foundation. Your Foundation will have to be cement to hold up your building or the house but it is made with concrete with the heat of 1450°c of the heat that will develop on the house.

 

Step 5: Frame: For your frame pieces of wood or glass will be recommended for the house and fitting also it will be structured and give you the support for the house/building.

 

Step 6: Final Touches: Your final touches will have to be decorating, gardening & a lot of other things you might want to add, it's your choice just as long as the house it beautiful and comfortable.

 

Conclusions & Final Thoughts: 

When I am older I want to be a Painter & a Builder !!

Kiwican :)

So today we had Kiwican with only Mrs.Mac, As she walked into class she asked us to sit on the mat in a circle, so we followed her commands. After we settled down she began to give us lessons & activities.

Our first activity was  " buddy up " we had to pair up with someone & she will call out "Buddy Up" which meant put your hands on your buddies shoulder & when she says "Buddy Down" we put our hands down, then she'll say "Buddy Sit" which meant sit on your buddies knee. After we had our little activity we had a discussion about our goals. She gave out pieces of paper to write down our Goals for this week & next Week. 

My Goals:

- Complete My Projects :)

- Take part in all class activity's !!

- Speak up in class discussions :) 

- Stay focused on school !!

- Try out new things :)

- & too not give up !!

Out off all lessons this was the best !! <3

 

Mathematics

Today we had Maths with Mrs Tofa. She gave us a warm up lesson that was " 6/4 = 2/4 " which i missed out on but never knew the answer to it. After sometime of the Warm up we then moved on to our actual maths question. The question was " You are making a fruit salad and need 2/3 of a cup of passion fruit. You have a 1/2, 1/4 and a ⅙ sized measuring cup. How will you measure the passion fruit? " For me & my group it was difficult because we didn't really get the problem so we struggled a little bit, then after 15 minutes Mrs Tofa called every in Tahi to the ground to explain their strategy & what they choose. Me & my group just sat their on the mat because we didn't get the Maths Problem that we were given. Me & my group thought about choosing ⅙ because it was the close to 2/3. So we never had anything written on our paper but here is the strategy the other groups did:

Strategy:

2/3 = ⅙

2 x 2= 4

2 x 3= 6

= 4/6

so we took it backwards to see if we are right so they did

4/6 ÷ 2 = 2/3
